Omi Gibson contacted 1-up Danny in spring 2010. She knew that he wanted to start a kickass band, beacuse she had seen his ad in bandfinder.se.Omi and Danny decided to meet up and play some songs together. Dannys good friend Joel Liåker joined to. Now they almost had a full band! All they needed was one more guitarist and a singer.
All of the members started looking for a guitarist but they didn't find someone who was both a killer on guitar and had a cool personality that could fit in the band. They decided to get a place to rehearse in the meantime. There, in the same building they found Francisco Campos. Although he already played in another band, Danny managed to convince him to join with Reaching.
Anyway, when Cisco joined the band, only a singer was missing. Omi desperately wanted a female singer, which Danny was completely opposite. Omi forced Danny to try out some female singers, and when Sarah came to sing with the band, it was love at first sight! So, the summer of 2010, we had a complete band. Joel came up with the awesome name Reaching for One.
The next 8 months the band worked hard, recorded some songs and did some acclaimed gigs in different places around Stockholm.
But then came the backfire. In spring 2011 Francisco announced that he was going to leave the band. As devastated as the other member were, they still started to look for a new guitarrist pretty soon.
And after a couple of months they found Him. A sweet young boy with a funny accent - Fredrik Grotte. When he joined the band felt complete again. R41 were once again ready to rock!
